Peace means that heaven and earth come together, and our vision and the realm of manifestation are aligned. It is an auspicious time.
Hexagram 11, Peace, is considered the most perfectly balanced hexagram. According to the Wilhelm/Baynes I Ching,
"The Receptive, which moves downward, stands above; the Creative, which moves upward, is below. Hence their influences meet and are in harmony, so that all living things bloom and prosper. . . Heaven and earth are in contact and combine their influences . . ."
In The Everyday I Ching, Sarah Dening calls Hexagram 11, "Overall Harmony." As she describes it,
"Everything is set for a period of growth. A time of peace, harmony and prosperity is indicated. This hexagram is associated with the beginning of spring when everything begins to flourish. Existing relationships will be more harmonious. New ones can be developed. Projects will thrive. Fresh beginnings are possible in all areas of life, but changes will not simply happen of their own accord. It is true that time conditions are favourable, but it is up to you to make the most of them. You must act now to lay the foundations of future success. Take full advantage of every opportunity that beckons."
Heaven is the realm of platonic forms, ideas and visions. Earth is the realm of matter and living tissue. Peace is the time when these can harmonize. You can bring ideas to fruition, and you can personify and manifest intentions. If you're an artist, you can bring heaven, your imagination, and earth, your medium or media, into harmony to create great work.
This is a promising time if you take advantage of it for worthy aims.
